• had been a music studio from at least 1961

• had been used for garrison theatre/wartime programmes (clifton parish hall)
• was a parish hall for the church of christchurch
• was parish hall since 1920s
• bbc probably commandeered during the war when london depts were moved outside of london
• radio drama index cards go back to 1924
• prolific radio drama for regional program
